

With increasing evidence on the prevalence of GBV and GBV being a key driver of poverty, the focus for APPCO shall be on strengthening national and community systems to scale up prevention and response to GBV in Uganda, supporting GBV survivors to access safe, comprehensive, and well-coordinated GBV response services and strengthening data and evidence for GBV.
APPCO focuses on addressing the root causes of violence against children by tackling harmful attitudes and strengthening community-based protection systems. Through its 2028 strategy, APPCO works with families, institutions, and authorities to promote empathy, restorative care, and stronger laws, services, and social norms that keep children safe.

APPCO seeks to address the causes and effects of poverty through development, relief, and advocacy. Our programming principle is to address the plight of Deprived, Excluded, and Vulnerable children and women in the communities where we operate.
